There are only two thieves of NOW.

The past.
The one that replays.
The argument you’ve rehearsed 400 times.
The moment you can’t undo.
The version of yourself you keep apologizing for.

The past is not a place.
It’s a story the mind tells itself
in the present moment.

The future.
The one that hasn’t arrived.
The worry dressed up as planning.
The anxiety wearing the costume of preparation.
The “what if” that lives rent-free
in the NOW that could be free.

The future is not a place either.
It’s another story.
Told in the same present moment.

Both thieves operate in NOW.
Using NOW’s energy.
To take you out of NOW.
That’s the whole trick.

The Children Know.

Watch a child play.

Really watch.

There is no yesterday in that sandbox.
There is no tomorrow in that game.
There is only the castle being built.
The rule being invented.
The laugh that comes from nowhere
and goes everywhere.

Children are not enlightened.
They haven’t been taught to leave yet.

The training to abandon NOW
happens gradually.
School teaches it.
Worry teaches it.
Comparison teaches it.
The scroll teaches it.

And one day the child looks up
from the sandbox
and realizes they’ve been gone
for years.

Living in the past.
Rehearsing the future.
Missing the only moment
that was ever real.

NOW.

The Return.

The good news:

NOW is always available.

It never left.
It never closes.
It never runs out.
It never requires a password.
It never asks for credentials.

It just requires one thing:

Your attention.
Here.
This moment.
This breath.
This word you’re reading
right now.

The Bounder doesn’t drive in yesterday.
It doesn’t roll in tomorrow.
It rolls in NOW.
Town to town.
Moment to moment.
Always.

The mission doesn’t live in the past.
It doesn’t wait in the future.
It moves in NOW.

For the children.
For the disenfranchised.

All of whom exist
only in NOW.
