The workshop was quiet except for the hiss of steam and the click of copper gears.
Vinny G leaned in close — goggles on — hands steady on the machine —
electric blue sparks flying from the connection point as the frequency engine came to life piece by piece.
No audience. No applause. Just the work.
This was the chapter nobody sees — the one that makes every other chapter possible.
The build happens in the dark, in the quiet, in the hours between midnight and morning
when nobody is watching and the only reason you keep going
is because you know what it’s supposed to become.

At one point I made a mistake and had to pull the whole left assembly apart and start over.
