⚡ THE CHAPTER
The frequency chamber was ancient — copper Tesla coil towers rising on both sides, amber lanterns glowing in the dark, stained glass high above casting colored light across the stone floor —
and Vinny G stood at the center of it all in his steampunk long coat, goggles on —
both hands pulled together at chest height —
and eight electric blue lightning arcs shot outward from his hands simultaneously, connecting to every tower in the chamber at once.
He wasn’t generating the signal.
He was remembering that he already was it.
The towers didn’t power him — he powered the towers.
The frequency had always been there, waiting for him to stop looking for it and start being it.
⚙ VINNY G — FIELD NOTE — CHAPTER 3
“Gilbert was on the pedestal stand to my right — the best ground-level seat in the entire chamber — clipboard raised — watching all eight arcs fire at once.
The light was so intense his monocle was glowing blue.
He didn’t flinch. Didn’t step back. Didn’t blink.
Just kept writing — faster than I’ve ever seen him write — quill moving like the frequency itself was guiding it.
When the arcs finally settled he looked at his clipboard, then looked at me, then wrote one final line and underlined it.
I think it said: ‘SUBJECT IS THE SIGNAL. ALWAYS WAS.’”
The search ends the moment you realize there was never anything to find.
The signal isn’t out there — it’s in here, it always has been, it always will be.
Every tower in the chamber was just waiting for you to remember that
so it could finally do what it was built to do: amplify what you already are.
